Educational Visits

We know the importance of providing children with real life experiences to provide context, meaningful connections and a deeper understanding of learning. From local area walks to further afield curriculum‑linked trips, pupils regularly experience learning beyond the classroom.

We also know that these opportunities can come at a cost that can be prohibitive to some of our families. To ensure full inclusivity, we work with partner agencies who are able to subsidise and fund these essential elements of our Gillas Lane curriculum – we are extremely proud that the vast majority of our visits are at NO COST to our families.

The Sir Tom Cowie Charitable Trust are incredibly understanding of the barriers facing our families and they fully fund the vast majority of our visits – we’d be lost without them!
